Clothing the Loop: Sustainable Fashion Festival.
Bring your simple textile repairs to the SEE Change pop-up repair cafe 10am-1pm.
Clothing the loop is a collision of fashion, art, design and activism presented by local change makers Australian Dance Party and Kelli Donovan to inspire circular textiles and fashion economies in our ACT community. The day-night festival features sewing and textile art workshops, panel discussions, giant clothes swap, local designer fashion parade and performances addressing the growing fast fashion and waste crisis. SoilEd Summer Arvo Picnic
Join in our late afternoon summer picnic at Watson Microforest, to celebrate the launch of SoilEd CBR – a one-stop-shop online resource all about building healthy soil and more sustainable lifestyles here in Canberra.
We’ll have soil-related DIY guides and factsheets to take home, a free carbon capture workshop run by Fiona Buining (Ainslie Urban Farm) and crafts for kids. Bring a picnic rug, snacks and refreshments. Some yummy treats will also be provided.
