Canberra, a Sustainable Bush City - Online Hangout

What makes a sustainable city? Join us for an informal online hangout on Wednesday 6 October at 5pm to discuss what aspects are important in making a more sustainable Canberra!

Making individual sustainable change is great, but it's also exciting to talk about the big ideas that we, as a city, can implement and contribute to. We want to talk about big ideas for the future of sustainability in Canberra! Canberra is known for being the ‘bush capital’. How do we retain the essence of that idea as our population grows? What can we do to protect our urban biodiversity, reduce traffic congestion and support energy efficient buildings and much more.

Maybe you have a focus on sustainable transport, energy generation and use, or the growing circular economy? Whatever your ideas are, we want to hear them!

We’ll be discussing questions like: What makes Canberra unique in terms of sustainability? What can we learn from other places that we can implement in Canberra? What are the economic and social aspects that we need to consider in implementing sustainable ideas in Canberra?

This is a no obligation meet-up, and a chance to meet other sustainability-minded people and keep the conversation on climate action going. Let’s build some momentum and excitement around big ideas for a climate friendly Canberra!
