This demonstration home explains and shows visitors firsthand what they should look for to easily achieve a more energy efficient and sustainable home, that is more comfortable to live in and cheaper to run. It includes a range of sustainability features, such as:

• Passive solar design to an 8.2 star rating under NatHERS

• Double and triple glazed thermally broken aluminium windows

• Sustainable materials, e.g. compressed timber cladding, Australian and recycled timbers

• Good draft sealing and insulation

• No downlights

• Efficient appliances

• A grass driveway

• A green roof

• And much more…

At this tour, Paul and Jodie will also explain how the house was wrapped and sealed, using their demonstration trailer as a visual tool.
