SEE Change "Open Hours"

  • Downer Community Centre Frenchman Place Downer Australia (map)

We’re opening the SEE Change Office at the Downer shops. Everyone is welcome to drop by. We’ll be on hand with activities and for you to ask questions about our projects.

  • Try a range of e-bikes including cargo models. The bikes are part of the Canberra Electric Bike Library, an ACT Government program managed by SEE Change and Switched on Cycles. Please bring a helmet if you can (we have some spares on hand).

  • Borrow a book from our sustainability library

  • Reduce waste! Bring in your egg cartons for reuse or join in our clothes swap. Please bring clothes to swap or see what clothes are already here in the office that might be your next fashion gem!

  • Help build healthy soil as part of the Roving Regenerators program. We can help sign you up for the program by giving a demo of how to use the volunteer platform, Volaby. Our new Roving Regenerators program is designed for easy and fun volunteering that makes a direct impact as we learn about soil carbon together. We may even start raking leaves or ripping up egg cartons to put to good use in building soil.

Tea and snacks will be available. Everyone is welcome to drop by, bring your friends, kids and family!

“Open hours” is an ad hoc event at our Downer office based on staffing and volunteer capacity. Keep an eye on our event page on our website and on our socials to see which dates apply.

Please do not attend if you have recently been a close contact of someone with Covid-19 or are feeling unwell.
