There are many ways you can take part in SEE Change
Whether it’s with your school, university, group or as an individual - we’d love to have you join us in any capacity you’re willing and able to. If you don’t have time to volunteer you can donate to support our work in the community.
Volunteer
Volunteers form the core of SEE Change. We offer a range of volunteering opportunities.
There are opportunities for volunteering in the SEE Change office. If you’re a grant submission legend or an data analysis whizz, we’d love to borrow your expertise.
We also have volunteer-led groups working on different aspects of sustainability. There’s something for everyone. Check them out here.

Do you have an idea for a project that will contribute to the region’s sustainability? Talk to us about starting your own group. We’ll provide planning support and mentoring, and ongoing support for maximum success. Contact us.
University Internships
Need to get credit for your university course? At SEE Change we offer internships one day per week during university semester. We provide mentoring on your project. In return we ask you to provide some time to help out with administration. Contact us.
Join the SEE Change Board
Help guide the strategic direction of SEE Change. Our Board is elected each year at the SEE Change Annual General Meeting held in November. Board Members must be members of SEE Change.
Board positions including Chair
At its Annual General Meeting on 9 November 2026, SEE Change is looking for directors who are based in the ACT to nominate for the Board. The current Chair is stepping down after four years. All positions on the board are declared vacant so people can nominate for any position on the board. The Board is particularly interested in people with previous board experience and who have a strong interest in environmental sustainability. We encourage applicants from Indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and younger or first time directors to apply.
We would welcome applicants with skills in: organisational strategy, fundraising, volunteer management, and/or finance. The role of Chair requires approximately 2-3 hours per week and includes establishing a strong working relationship with SEE Change's Executive Director and key stakeholders including the ACT Government. Ordinary members typically work 1-3 hours per month, along with preparation for, and participation in 1 ½ hour Board meetings each six weeks (mixture of in-person and Teams). All members of the Board may be asked to lead on particular projects such as strategy development, writing policies, preparing a board paper on a particular issue, or to volunteer at a SEE Change event.
