The Story of Plastic - Community Screening and discussion group

The Story of Plastic takes a sweeping look at the man-made crisis of plastic pollution and the worldwide effect it has on the health of our planet and the people who inhabit it. Spanning three continents, the film illustrates the ongoing catastrophe: fields full of garbage, veritable mountains of trash, rivers and seas clogged with waste, and skies choked with the poisonous emissions from plastic production and processing. The film features interviews with experts and activists on the front lines of the fight, and the powerful global movement that is rising up in response to this crisis. Watch the trailer here.

You're invited to join us for a community discussion about the film, and what steps we can all take to tackle the plastic crisis together.

Attendees will receive a link to stream the film The Story of Plastic two weeks before the event start time. The link will be delivered to you at the email address you use to RSVP here. We will reconvene at 7pm on Thursday 25 June for a Q&A session on Zoom. You will receive a seperate Zoom link for the event alongside the streaming link. As there are a limited number of views available for the film, please only register if you definitely want to watch and take part in the discussion.

This event has been organised by WasteLess, a special interest SEE-Change group focusing on reducing waste in Canberra, and Trash Gather, a volunteer-led community group that aims to reduce the amount of litter in our environment.
