Revamping a greenhouse with borrowed tools
The Canberra Organic Gardeners Society (COGS) Dickson Commuity Garden recently revamped their greenhouse using tools borrowed from the Community Toolbox! They borrowed a number of items including the pressure washer, the shop vac, angle grinder, rivet gun, wire brush, paint scrapers, drop sheets, paint roller cleaner, ratchet set and wire strippers. Borrowing the items saved the Community Garden from having to buy new items that they don’t need post project – saving money and contributing to the circular economy. Plus, instead of tools taking up precious storage space, they can focus on using the space for more plants!
We love to see what people can get done with their Toolbox loans – check out the before and after photos above!
“We really couldn’t have done it without the Toolbox. and amazing that one can borrow up to 15 items at once! (we didn’t quite make it, but we tried.)” – Babette, Dickson Community Garden
If you’re planning a reno, check out the Toolbox before you buy new - and if your a Dickson local, make sure to check out the Community Garden
